Afterwards, we go to supper at 6:00 p.m.

On The Move in Missions!
Second Sunday Serving
The Emanuel family is also gathering the second Sunday of each month to do several service projects. You might see people who take part wearing work clothes to the 11 a.m. worship service, or gathering for a light meal in the Parish Hall as they organize and then go out to work. These are short and focused opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus at work in the world. Thirty- five workers took part the first Sunday, completing four projects by shortly after 2:00 p.m. Not only were four worth-while jobs accomplished, but some great fellowship was shared.
Welcome
Thank you for visiting Emanuel Lutheran Church by way of our web site. Emanuel means, “God with us,” and it is our prayer that you will experience the richness and fullness of God’s grace in a very real way in your life.
At Emanuel, you will see God’s presence celebrated in many ways. If you are looking for a caring faith community where you can grow in your relationship with God and join with others in serving God and your neighbor, then Emanuel may be that family of faith for you. Our weekly worship services offer a rich blend of faith-filled liturgy, music and sermons.
You will find Emanuel to be a place with a warm welcome for you and an invitation to be a part of this growing family of faith. We believe that we are on a journey as a congregation, not following trends or fads, but faithfully responding in daily life to the call of Jesus. May you experience the renewing and transforming presence and grace of God in your life.

Pastor Tim Carey
A Mission Driven Congregation
Emanuel is committed to serving “beyond the church walls” and reaching out to the community at large. We open our doors on Thanksgiving Day and serve food to more than 600 people, many of whom would not otherwise have a traditional Thanksgiving meal. We also assist at the community’s Soup Kitchen and make monthly donations to the Food Bank, including 5,000 cans collected in the weeks before the Super Bowl.
Emanuel volunteers have traveled to Mexico to build houses and to Mississippi to assist with reconstruction efforts after Hurricana Katrina. We also have helped with clean-up and rebuilding after devasting torandoes in Greensburg and Chapman, Kansas.
Emanuel also participates in Stephen Ministry to offer encouragement and friendship to persons experiencing difficulties in their lives.
