Worship & Music
WORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Worship is central to our lives as God’s people at Emanuel Lutheran Church. Our worship life reflects an emphasis on the grace of God revealed in World and Sacrament.
A variety of worship experiences from traditional to more contemporary provide stirring and inspiring opportunities for God’s people to gather and be prepared for service amidst the world.
The Good News of Jesus is richly proclaimed in such a way as to move members to share that Good News in word and deed in the world.
WORSHIP SCHEDULE
Emanuel has three worship services.
Saturday: 5:30 p.m.
Sunday: 8:30 a.m. & 11 a.m.
The Saturday service is less formal, with alternative worship liturgies and music.
Holy Communion is celebrated at every Saturday service; and at Sunday services on the first and third Sundays. A supervised nursery is available at the Sunday services.
SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP TIME
Emanuel values opportunities for fellowship. Coffee, juice and pastries are served at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a cup of coffee and a chance to meet new friends.
BIBLE STUDY & SUNDAY SCHOOL
People of all ages are invited to grow in God’s word through year-round Bible Studies and Sunday School classes for all ages. All classes begin at 9:45 p.m.
MUSIC AT EMANUEL
Music is very important to the inspiring worship services at Emanuel. We have two children’s choirs, the SonShine Singers (ages 3 – 1st grade) and the Carol Choir (2nd – 6th grades). We have a fine Adult Choir directed by the college vocal music instructor. We also celebrate The Jubilate Ringers, our handbell choir. Our men lend their vocal talents to our Men’s Ensemble.
Whether you are a singer or a ringer we would welcome you to the fellowship of our choirs.
